Joyce Hinterding is an artist recognised internationally for her work across sculpture, object arts, sound art and digital arts. Her practice-based research, which includes acoustics, electronics and alchemy, is renowned for explorations into energy scavenging through custom-built field recording and monitoring technologies. Joyce is the author of numerous artworks such as Floric Antenna (2019), Simple Forces (2013), Soundwave (2012), and Spiral Network (2011) and the recipient of the 2019 Australia Council Emerging & Experimental Arts Award, and the 2015 Prix Ars Electronica Award of Distinction.
